In February 2008 The Cancer Council NSW has relocated its Far North Coast Ballina Office to Alstonville, about 20km inland from Ballina.
We would like top introcuce our Cancer Council NSW – Far North Coast Team, which supports The Cancer Council’s Vision and Mision in the communities of the Northern Region.

Patty Delaney
North Coast Area Manager
Patty is based in Coffs Harbour and frequently visits the Far North Coast area each week. She ensures that the staff and volunteers work to deliver relevant, timely, health campaigns and events. Her position has been created to work at a strategic level and to provide further support for the Mid North and Far North Coast Regions.

Carolyn Forbes
Community Relations Coordinator
Carolyn Forbes expertise include public relations and fundraising, and in this role she will oversee Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, Daffodil Day, Community Fundraising and Relay for Life Events in the region.

Sandra Rowan
Lead Office Coordinator
Sandra provides administrative support for the regional office. She supervises our office and volunteers and brings fifteen years of Cancer Council experience and knowledge to her work. Administers support for all NSW Regional Offices Office Coordinators

Diana Fisher
Regional Programs Coordinator
Diana coordinates the health, education, prevention, support and advocacy programs for the region and works in partnership with our area health service, local community, councils and other organisations. As an experienced community development practitioner she is continually striving to create a cancer smart community.

Kez Henderson
Regional Programs Coordinator, Supportive Care
Kez works five days per fortnight and her focus is on developing Information Centres in treatment centres for the Far North Coast. Kez also supports the Cancer Council partnerships in transport services.

Anna Fitzalan
Relay For Life Coordinator
Anna works 3 days a week( and soon Full- time) and helps coordinate our Relay For Life Events. Anna knows first hand how important the work of The Cancer Council is as she is a Breast Cancer Survivor herself.

Doug Stinson
Volunteer Consultant
Doug is providing advice and support to the Far North Coast Office for 3 to 6 months in regard to management systems and operational policies and procedures following the move to Alstonville. Doug brings a wealth of experience in Health Administration and Management consulting.
Manuel Keppeler
Intern
Manny is a Sport and Tourism Management Student at SCU assisting with Relay For Life, CCOS and ABMT and regional office administration for 600 hours. His major focus lies in the development of online Marketing and PR strategies.
Volunteers
As a non-profit community organisation that receives no government funding we rely on volunteers and the continued generosity of the community to support our programs.
Office volunteers
We are always looking for people to assist with office duties such as answering the phone, updating our database or just contributing to the day to day running of our office. Event volunteers
We require the assistance of volunteers when planning and implementing our fundraising events. We will be recruiting more volunteers with a particular focus on special events such as Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, Daffodil Day and Relay For Life. We are particularly looking for volunteers from the Tweed Region. If you’d like to become an integral part of our next event, please contact us on (02) 6627 0300.
